Saint Patrick (389-461)

Saint Patrick, Apostle of Ireland, was born at Kilpatrick, near Dumbarton, in Scotland, in the year 389 and died in 461 or 462. Saint Patrick is one of Ireland's two patron saints. He devoted almost 30 years of his life to teaching the people of Ireland about Roman Catholicism.

'May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields and, Until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand...'
