Industrial Revolution

Between 1750 and 1850, Britain developed from a small, agricultural nation into the major industrial and economic power in the world.  New machinery, factories, and steam engines were invented and changed the way people worked.

These economic and technological changes had major social, and political consequences that determined the way Britain developed into the twentieth century.
