The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

A meek Hobbit from the Shire and eight companions set out on a journey to destroy the powerful One Ring and save Middle-earth from the Dark Lord Sauron. The Fellowship of the Ring is the first in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. 

Released in 2001, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring was directed by Peter Jackson, written by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens and Peter Jackson (based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien) and starred Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, John Rhys-Davies, Sean Bean, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, Hugo Weaving, Liv Tyler, Cate Blanchett and Christopher Lee.
