Haddon, Mark (1962-)

Mark Haddon is an English novelist. The publication of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time in 2003 brought Haddon critical applause, commercial benefit, and awards.  It was the first book  to be simultaneously published in two imprints - one for children and one for adults.  It is now considered to be one of the most memorable books of the 2000s.

His talent not only involves novel writing but extends to poetry, illustration and abstract painting. Mark Haddon teaches creative writing for the Arvon Foundation and Oxford University.
