Harkin, Natalie

Natalie Harkin is a Narungga woman from the Chester family in South Australia.  She is an academic and activist-poet, and her PhD research is an archival-poetic interrogation of the state's Aboriginal records. Her words have been installed and projected in exhibitions comprising text-object projection.

She is part of the Unbound Collective, a group of Aboriginal women collaborating through research, exhibitions and performance projections through Adelaide's 'cultural precinct'.  She is a column writer for Overland and her first collection of poetry, Dirty Words, was published by Cordite Books in 2015.
